1. Our Services
Expediso designs and operates curated special-interest journeys across Indonesia and beyond, including educational programs, lifestyle escapes, expeditions, corporate experiences, and festival series. We act as a travel designer and operator, coordinating local partners (lodging, transport, guides, activity providers).
2. Inquiries & Proposals
Submitting an inquiry through our website does not create a binding contract. We respond with a custom proposal typically within 4 working days. A booking is only confirmed after you accept the proposal in writing and any required deposit is paid.
3. Bookings & Payments
- A deposit (typically 30%) is required to confirm a booking.
- The balance is due before the trip departure date specified in your invoice.
- All prices are quoted in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) unless otherwise stated.
- Payments are made via bank transfer or other channels specified in the invoice.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation terms depend on how early you cancel:
- More than 60 days before departure: 90% refund of the amount paid (10% admin fee).
- 30–60 days: 50% refund.
- Less than 30 days: No refund; we will make best efforts to reschedule.
- Force majeure (natural disasters, government restrictions): we will offer credit for a future trip.
Specific journeys may have different cancellation terms — these will be clearly noted in your proposal.
5. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that every traveler obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, cancellation, and personal belongings. Expediso is not liable for medical or evacuation costs not covered by your insurance.
6. Health & Safety
- You confirm you are physically fit for the planned activities.
- You disclose any allergies, medical conditions, or dietary needs in advance.
- You follow safety briefings from our guides at all times.
- We reserve the right to modify itineraries when conditions require it.
7. Responsible Travel
By traveling with us, you agree to follow our Responsible Traveler principles: respect local cultures, support local businesses, leave no trace, and travel with intention. See our Responsible Travel page for details.
8. Liability
Expediso acts as an intermediary for third-party suppliers (airlines, hotels, transport operators). We exercise due diligence in selecting partners but are not liable for their independent acts, omissions, or service failures. Our maximum aggregate liability is limited to the total trip cost paid.
9. Intellectual Property
All website content (photos, copy, branding) is the property of Expediso or our partners. You may share our content with proper attribution but may not republish it commercially without our permission.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any disputes shall first be resolved through good-faith discussion; if unresolved, by the competent court of the jurisdiction where Expediso is registered.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
